Fujitsu preparing a 7-inch Android tablet for Q3 2011


Japanese notebook brand, Fujitsu recently launched its new 10.1-inch Windows 7 based tablet called the LifeBook TH40/D which will be shipping to US, Japan and European markets. Furthermore, the guys also announced that they are preparing an Android-based 7-inch tablet which the company will announce later in the third quarter of this year.
Details on this upcoming Android tablet are scarce, however we know that it is expected to be priced between $350 – $700. We are quite sure that the tablet will be based on Android Honeycomb. It may also have very similar specifications to the average Honeycomb-based tablets currently available in the market. The company has also mentioned that the manufacturing of this tablet would be outsourced to Taiwan-based ODMs.
The company has also announced new 12-inch LifeBook P-series notebooks for the Japanese markets and they plan to introduce stylus support and a 3.5G model to the 10.1-inch LifeBook tablet.
